When it comes to building a luxury home, you may think of the most extravagant things that you can. From a custom closet for all of your shoes to a wine cellar underneath your stairs, there are some things that may be non negotiable for you, but there are also some things that may be. When you are building a luxury home or remodeling one, make sure that you keep your resell capability in mind. For instance, if your house is filled with things that are only catered towards yourself, it's going to be a lot more difficult for you to sell it. So, what are some things that you can add to your home that just about everyone will appreciate? 

Large Garage

Having a large garage is something that just about everyone wants. Whether you have a large garage to fit multiple cars or you have one that you can do house projects in without bringing sawdust inside, having the extra space is definitely a fun luxury. When you are designing a multiple car garage, have at least a three-car garage because most people have at least two cars. Then, have an epoxy coating put on the bottom because it will make your garage look more complete and it's easy to wipe off. 

Large Chefs Kitchen

Most people cook or at least use their kitchen to entertain in. When you are designing a home and want to consider it's resell value, consider the size of the kitchen and everything that's included in it. One fun trend right now in luxury homes is to have two really large kitchen islands; one to cook on and one to eat on. Other things to consider are having double dishwashers, a commercial sized refrigerator, double ovens, and a large pantry. These are all things that will come in handy when you have a lot of people coming over. 

Master Bathroom

The master bedroom and bathroom should be a suite for the owners to retreat to. When designing the master bathroom, in particular, don't forget to pull out all of the stops. For instance, make sure to include double sinks, a shower with double shower heads, a standing bathtub, and plenty of storage space. Also consider attaching a large master closet to the bathroom so that it's a little bit concealed from everything.
